Postpartum: Help at home
A postpartum doula provides continued support, resources and evidence based information until 12 weeks after birth for the birth person, support partner, and baby. This support is to help aide the parent baby dyad during the tender and coveted 4th trimester.
Mama Serving Mamas believes that the fourth trimester is equally as important as every trimester leading up to it. I believe that the postpartum period should be treated as such. Postpartum services are designed to welcome and transition not only the newborn, but the birth person and family as well. Mama Serving Mamas wants to foster companionship, and non-judgmental support so the fourth trimester isn’t so daunting and overwhelming.
Postpartum doula support includes:
- Lactation support
- Soothing techniques
- Assistance with household tasks
- Companionship and non- judgmental support
- Meal preparation
- Assistance with newborn and family transition
- Sibling support
- Light laundry duties
- Wide range of resources
